Teen awarded $50,000 in texting contest
A Wisconsin teenager is $50,000 richer – all because of texting.
He won the title of Fastest Texter in America on Wednesday at a competition in New York City.
This is the second year in a row the 17-year-old’s fingers have flown to top honors.
He won by texting a 149-character message with capitalization, punctuation, and various symbols, in 39 seconds.
The competition tested three skills – speed, accuracy, and dexterity.
