    Dozens of college students hurt after charter bus overturns on Powhite Parkway

    Chesterfield County, Va. – Dozens of college students were hospitalized after an Abbott Trailways charter bus they were on overturned on the Powhite Parkway in Chesterfield County Sunday evening. Virginia State Police Sgt. Steve Vick said the bus originated in Richmond and was carrying students from Virginia Tech and Radford. Chesterfield Fire and EMS spokesman Lt. Jason Elmore said the bus was carrying 49 passengers. Two drivers were on board the bus. One driver was transported to the hospital. One victim has critical injuries. […]

    Norfolk, Va. – A traveler was stopped by Transportation Security Administration officers at the Norfolk International Airport checkpoint with a .40 caliber handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition in his carryon bag on Friday.
